STAKEHOLDER NEWS

Central Texas is taking bold steps toward addressing climate change with the creation of its first-ever Comprehensive Climate Action Plan, and they need your input!

In 2023, the City of Austin received a $1 million Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). These funds are supporting a collaborative effort among regional government agencies and community organizations across the greater Central Texas area to develop a unified plan that will take action against targeting issues such as:

  • Transportation (Micro-mobility, Electricfication, and Construction/Lawn Equipment)

  • Energy (Rebates, Solor/Wind Energy, Building and Energy Codes)

  • Waste and Materials (Renewable Fuels from Landfills, Composting)

To make this plan truly impactful, we need to hear from people like you. What matters most to you when it comes to future infastructure? What steps do you think Central Texas should take to reduce pollution and build a healthier, more resilient community?

By taking their quick survey, you can share your priorities and ideas — and as a thank-you, you’ll have the chance to receive a $50 Visa gift card!

Propane School Bus? EV Lawn Mower? Hybrid Vehicles?  Commuter Programs? Fuel Efficient Transportation technology or practices?

We want to highlight  governments, municipalities, businesses, or organizations in Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis and Williamson Counties using cleaner transportation fuels, advanced vehicle technologies, and fuel-saving strategies, we want to highlight their work from the 2024 year!

When we know which technologies our stakeholders are using, we are better able to support them through targeted education, identifying funding and peer mentoring opportunities, and publicizing efforts.
