Central Texas Clean Cities (CTXCC) recognizes stakeholders within our region for their use of alternative fuels, advanced vehicle technologies, and fuel-saving strategies. CTXCC and sister coalitions nationwide collect data annually from stakeholders on their use of alternative fuels, advanced vehicle technologies, and fuel-saving strategies.
When we know which technologies our stakeholders are using, we are better able to support them through targeted education, identifying funding and peer mentoring opportunities, and publicizing their efforts. This information is shared with the Department of Energy’s Vehicle Technology Office where they review national trends, facilitate discussion with industries on specific technical issues, and identify areas for research and development and funding opportunities.
Any Government, Municipal, Business, or organization can earn a Fleet and Fuel recognition badge based on the data we collect from them. We start collecting data from the previous year, starting in January through March through email surveys or phone interviews. Organizations are recognized towards the end of the year.

Send us your contact information and tell us what types of technologies, fuels or policies you are implementing. In January, we start sending out information requests to our stakeholders. As part of the national Clean Cities program we count the following as alternative fuels:

We’ll ask for the type of vehicle- heavy-duty truck, shuttle-van, etc. and either the number of miles traveled OR amount of alternative fuel used.
We’ll ask other questions about Vehicle Miles traveled reduction measures (for employees) and return by the deadline. If you’ve added new fueling or charging stations, that’s important too.
We use this information to understand what types of education we can provide, identify networking, and funding opportunities. This information is also shared with the Department of Energy’s Vehicle Technologies Office so they can understand what is happening nationally and can provide funding and research and development opportunities.
We’ll send you a request form in January for information for the prior calendar year.
